Welcome to Barkers Function Centre

Situated on the Heritage grounds of the Old Waihou Village Primary School, Ngutumanga Road, this venue offers both privacy and the picturesque view of Mt Te Aroha.

Outside, the towering century old oak trees line the grounds perimeter providing shade and wonderful photographic opportunities.

Bi fold doors open onto an expansive courtyard offering an indoor/outdoor flow and serene mountain views.

A large play area is within viewing distance from the venue. Children must be supervised at all times.

Venue hire includes:

Table and seating for up to 120 guests
Use of venue from 2pm day prior to wedding until 12.30am day of wedding
On site Venue Manager
Security
Cake table
P.A. System
Full clean up service available, but if spillages occur or any glass broken these must be cleaned up.

(All personal belongings must be taken away on the day or evening following the function; this includes food, alcohol, glasses and any decorations)

Everything can be organised for you or you are
welcome to add your personal touch. We will endeavour to make your day as memorable as we can.

We have ample off street parking as well as wheelchair access to all areas.
We can recommend a caterer or you can organise a caterer of your choice.

Bar Staff available on request. We can supply all beverages or you can supply your own.

All hired tablecloths to be left on tables at end of function
Music: All music must be turned off at midnight and the premises vacated by 12.30am.

From the Waihou Historic Church our venue is a 5 minute leisurely stroll. Church is available for hire.
